Tihama sues Riyadh Municipality for billboard damage, claims SAR 15.6 mln compensation

Tihama Advertising and Public Relations Co. submitted, today, Sept. 1, a lawsuit before the administrative court against Riyadh Municipality, claiming a compensation of SAR 15.6 million and 10% of the attorney fees, according to a bourse statement.

 

The company claimed compensation for the damage caused to its advertising billboards by the municipality.

 

"It is not possible at this stage to determine the financial impact of this case, as well as the relevant legal consequences and risks," Tihama said, adding that any developments regarding this case will be announced in due course.

 

The claim is based on documents showing that it obtained legal advice affirming its right to demand compensation from the municipality for such damage.

 

Tihama does not expect any responsibility for filing the lawsuit, the statement added.
