The Ministry of Education announced the positions of Saudi universities on the Times Higher Education World University Rankings for 2022.
As many as 15 Saudi universities were included in the rankings, an increase of five universities compared to last year, or 50% above the global average.
The rankings of 11 universities improved due to publishing more research papers and increased quality and impact in recent years.
The Times indicators confirm that Saudi Arabia, with its new systems for research and innovation, came on top globally, by 35%, in terms of improved citation for its research outputs, said the ministry.
