The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) said that the standards for licensing and categorizing e-platforms and real estate advertising controls have come into effect, Saudi Press Agency reported.

The new ads control will reduce fake advertisements in the real estate sector, thus enhancing its reliability and raising the level of credibility of the platforms concerned with advertisements.

Under these controls, an advertiser shall be a Saudi national and are required to be registered through the national access platform. The advertiser shall be the owner of the property, or an agent of the owner under a written authorization or a court order.
