Ministry of Industry issues 74 permits for exporting 1.7 mln tons of minerals, ores

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources announced that it issued 74 permits for exporting some minerals, local mineral ores and ornamental stones, with quantities exceeding 1.7 million tons, Al Eqtisadiah newspaper reported.

 

Jarrah Aljarrah, official spokesperson for the ministry, said those having an exploitation license have the right to export minerals and ores for commercial purposes, after conducting industrial processing operations and removing impurities in accordance with the Mining Investment Law.

 

Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Alkhorayef, endorsed executive regulations of the mining investment law, which come into effect today, Jan. 1, 2021, Argaam earlier reported.
