Saudi-UAE partnership is pioneering model regionally, globally, says minister

Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, UAE's Minister of Economy, said the UAE – Saudi partnership is considered a pioneering model at the regional and global levels as regards cooperation and continued development of economic and commercial relations and investments, which enhances prosperity and sustainable development of the two countries.

 

On the occasion of the Kingdom's 91st National Day, the minister said the UAE and Saudi Arabia are the biggest economies in the region, adding that both countries seek to boost cooperation in all vital sectors.

 

According to 2020 trade statistics, the Kingdom is the UAE's top trade partner regionally and the third globally, as their non-oil trade exchange reached AED 61.7 billion in H1 2021, a rise of 32.5% compared with a year earlier, Al Marri said. He added that this reflects the strength and diversity of commercial relations between the two countries.

 

The UAE was also the Kingdom's biggest trade partner in the region, and the third globally after China and the US in 2020.

 

The minister concluded that both countries will witness more cooperation and partnership, including diversity of opportunities, which will boost their economic growth and prosperity.
