Saudi banks’ investments in treasury bonds increased by nearly SAR 10.7 billion month-on-month (MoM) to SAR 465.3 billion in August, new data from the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) showed.
The rise in banks’ investments in treasury bonds is the highest since February 2020, when it hit SAR 13.5 billion.
SAMA’s foreign assets jumped by SAR 23.5 billion in August to around SAR 1.8725 trillion.
