Saudi Arabia 'serious' about combating commercial cover-up: Alkassabi

Majed Alkassabi, Minister of Commerce and acting Minister of Media, said that Saudi Arabia is serious about combating commercial cover-up.

 

Upon the directives of the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, a committee was formed to combat cover-up, while imposing tougher penalties, the minister said during the periodic government communication press briefing held today, Oct. 4.

 

The minister also pledged that more achievements would be seen in combating cover-up.

 

Saudi Arabia continues to successfully fight COVID-19 pandemic, as it has achieved advanced positions at the regional and global levels, including second place among 121 countries on Nikkei COVID-19 Recovery Index.

 

He also highlighted the digital advancement achieved by the Kingdom, which helped it achieve second rank among G20 countries in Digital Renaissance Index.

 

Alkassabi also reviewed the Kingdom's economic successes, most notably recording the highest level of non-oil exports, at a total value of SAR 255 billion.
