The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that the permits of Umrah and prayers in the Two Holy Mosques are limited to the persons who received the two doses of COVID-19 vaccine, as of Oct. 10.

The decision comes in line with the instructions of the Ministry of Health as regards implementing the preventive protocols against coronavirus, as follows:

First: Restricting the issuance of permits to perform Umrah and prayers in Grand Mosque and to visit the Prophet's Mosque to the persons who received two doses of the vaccine, and the cases exempted from vaccination, as shown by "Tawakkalna" app.

Second: Those who completed the procedures of receiving the permit to perform Umrah, prayers or visiting the Prophet's Mosque without completing the vaccination should take the second dose 48 hours before the permit date to avoid its cancellation.

The ministry indicated that all precautionary and preventive measures related to the epidemic are subject to continuous evaluation by the Public Health Authority (Weqaya), according to the developments of the epidemiological situation.
