National Investment Strategy to lead Saudi economy to unprecedented renaissance: Alkhorayef

Bandar Alkhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, affirmed that the National Investment Strategy (NIS) launched by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman will lead the Saudi economy to an unprecedented renaissance, the state-run SPA reported.

In a meeting with the members of the Saudi Society for Opinion Writers, Alkhorayef considered that the industrial and mining sectors represent major part of the economic transformation process.

He described the Saudi citizen as the spirit of future and maker of change, thanks to his ability to compete and work hard.

The ministry plans to make future jobs in the industrial and mining sectors commensurate with high skills, Alkhorayef said.

He added that the industry and mineral wealth system focuses heavily on innovation and digital skills to fulfill the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The system also aims to raise the efficiency and skills of human capabilities in the two sectors, to be suitable for the quality of future jobs that are based on technology and artificial intelligence (AI), the minister concluded.
