Ahmed Al-Rajhi, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, issued a decision today, Oct. 24, to Saudize marketing and administrative support jobs.
On his official Twitter account, the minister said the move is part of the Saudization program that aims to provide the citizens with the suitable job opportunities, as well as raise their contribution to the national economy.
The ministry said in a statement that the decision of localizing 30% of marketing jobs is applied to the establishment that has at least five employees working in this field.
According to the statement, the ministry set minimum salaries for the localized jobs at SAR 5,500, and the decision will come into effect as of May 8, 2022.
The decision will provide more than 12,000 jobs for citizens.
Further, the ministry issued a procedural guide detailing the decision and the mechanisms necessary for its implementation to ensure the compliance of establishments.
It stressed the application of penalties against the violating establishments and will also provide packages of incentives and support to encourage the private establishments to employ Saudis.
