Saudi Arabia posts SAR 38.8 bln trade surplus in August

Saudi Arabia posted a trade surplus of SAR 38.8 billion in August, data issued by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) showed.

 

Total exports rose 59% year-on-year (YoY) in August to SAR 89.2 billion. Meanwhile, imports grew by 24% YoY to SAR 50.3 billion during the same period.

 

Oil exports surged by 74% to SAR 66.2 billion in August. Non-oil exports increased by 27% to SAR 22.95 billion.
