Competition authority to take necessary measures against 13 cement firms for controlling prices

The Saudi General Authority for Competition (GAC) issued a decision on taking the necessary measures against 13 establishments operating in the cement sector, as they colluded to control prices. 

  

The authority also issued a decision approving to take the necessary measures against an establishment operating in the gas sector, which is accused of abusing the dominant position. 

 

Moreover, GAC agreed to launch investigation sand gather information about the possibility that establishments operating in information technology, electrical manufacturing, waste recycling, travel and tourism, water and seawater desalination sectors violated the provisions of the Competition Law and its executive regulations.
