MAWANI allocates SAR 9 bln to develop Saudi ports: President

The Saudi Ports Authority (MAWANI) allocated SAR 9 billion for developing the capacity of Saudi ports, Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper reported, citing Omar Hariri, President of MAWANI.

 

During the Logistics Forum 2021, Hariri added that 72 international and local companies plan to work on new contracts and will invest nearly SAR 2 billion.

 

The authority is also working hard on a new approach for digital transformation, to automate all its operations, the official said.

 

He added that several projects are underway, most notably the separation between legislation and operation, to provide value-added solutions and services at a lower cost.
