SAMA licenses Sohar International Bank to open branch in Saudi Arabia

Muscat-based Sohar International Bank obtained, on Nov. 7, the approval of the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) to open a branch in the Kingdom to conduct banking business, the bank said in a filing to Muscat Stock Exchange.

 

Licensed by SAMA, Sohar International Bank will be able to open a full-fledged branch to conduct banking activities, in line with the regulations applied in the Kingdom.

 

The Saudi Cabinet, on Oct. 26, approved licensing Sohar International Bank to open a branch in the Kingdom, Argaam reported.
