Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) is expected to turn profitable in 2023 or 2024,  Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ibrahim Koshy told Reuters at the Dubai Airshow.

The airline is planning to place a wide-body aircraft order next year to fuel rapid international expansion plans that will see it and a subsidiary flying to 200 mostly foreign destinations by 2030, up from 90 destinations in 2019.

Saudia also expects to carry 85 million passengers annually by 2030, up from 35 million in 2019, Koshy added.
