Saudi banks’ market capitalization exceeds SAR 1 trln

The market capitalization of Saudi-listed banks crossed the SAR 1 trillion barrier, for the first time ever, during November, data compiled by Argaam showed.
 

The market capitalization of Saudi banks reached SAR 1.047 trillion by the close of trading today, Nov. 17.
 

Al Rajhi Bank and Saudi National Bank (SNB) accounted for about 65% of the total market capitalization of Saudi-listed banks, on the backdrop of the rise in the P/E ratio of both banks to 26x and 24x, respectively, compared to realized gains in last 12 months.

Tadawul's banks index rose 69% YTD to 12,809 points.

For stock performance, all banks rose year-to-date, topped by Al Rajhi Bank - the heaviest weight on Tadawul and the banking sector- with above 100%.

 

Bank Albilad and SNB stocks surged above 60%, while The Saudi Investment Bank (SAIB) recorded the least rise of 13%.
