Saleh Al Jasser, Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, launched, today, Nov. 17, the logistics license to develop the work environment, facilitate the licensing procedures, and accelerate the businesses of the logistics sector, Saudi Press Agency reported.

 

Al Jasser indicated that the move aims to fulfill the goals of the national transport and logistics strategy to develop and raise the logistic performance index and facilitate the procedures, in line with the international best practices in this vital sector.

 

He also added that the step aims to boost the Kingdom's position as a global logistics hub.

 

The logistics license will increase the investment opportunities in the sector through providing modern regulatory frameworks and strengthening partnership with the private sector, through offering modern and stimulating work models for this sector.

 

The minister added that the Kingdom looks forward to making the logistics license a gateway for international companies towards the local logistics sector, as well as benefiting from the major and diversified investment opportunities in the various logistics services.
