The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) will continue to enhance the air cargo industry, while enacting legislations to create more investment as well as economic opportunities in this promising sector, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
GACA plans to increase the air cargo capacity to 4.5 million tons by 2030 versus less than 1 million tons in 2019, which will help create unparalleled investment options.
The smooth air freight transport is a key pillar of the aviation strategy, stated Sulaiman Almuhaimedi, GACA Assistant President for Aviation Standards, on the sidelines of Dubai Airshow 2021.
