Saudi Ministry of Transport required to speed up stalled projects

The Shura Council called on the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services, today, Dec. 7, to expedite stalled projects through conducting a comprehensive study to address the reasons behind stalling such projects, map out a plan to address this issue and implement it within a specific timetable.
 

The council also called on the ministry to avoid stalling projects in the future, starting with the planning stage through verifying the routes of public utilities and infrastructure to the implementation stage through selecting qualified contractors, Saudi Press Agency reported.
 

Further, the council called on the ministry to study the establishment of special lanes for trucks, buses and heavy-goods vehicles, along the axial roads linking the regions of the Kingdom.
