Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) stated that the total number of contracts registered via Marn platform reached more than 13,000, Al Eqtisadiah newspaper reported.

In August 2020, Ahmed Al-Rajhi, Saudi Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, launched mrn.sa, platform to register flexible work contracts between employees and employers, according to data compiled by Argaam.

The flexible work is the work performed by a part-time employee, and the wage is calculated on an hourly basis, provided that the employee's working hours with a single employer are less than half the working hours at the facility.

The flexible work contracts are limited to Saudis only.

The ministry targets 57,000 flexible contracts through the platform by the end of 2022.
