Southern Province Cement Co. (SPCC) said that work is still ongoing to complete the technical studies related to establishing a production line at the Jazan Cement Factory.
The implementation of the project is expected to start in the second half of 2022, the company said in a bourse filing, indicating that any significant developments will be announced later.
In June, the cement producer announced plans to build a new production line at Jazan cement factory with a capacity of 10,000 tons per day to replace the current lines, according to data compiled by Argaam.
The company expected construction works to begin in the second half of 2021.
