Minister of Justice, Walid Al-Samaani, said that the Law of Evidence will help introduce a contemporary model of judicial legislations, in line with the Shariah principles and the international agreements.
The new law will also help boost the credibility of the contractual agreements and obligations, Al-Samaani said in an official statement received by Argaam.
The Law of Evidence meets the contemporary needs of social, economic and technological life, in line with Shariah. It also leverages on the best international practices adopted regionally and globally. The new law will strengthen justice and protect properties and the rights of all individuals.
The new law will be come into force 180 days after being published in the official gazette.
Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet, chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, approved on Dec. 28, the Evidence Law, Argaam reported.
