Nazaha investigates 641 accused in criminal, administrative cases, arrests 233

The Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) initiated investigations against 641 accused individuals in administrative and criminal cases, after conducting 5,518 oversight visits during Jumada Al-Awwal month.

 

Nazaha also arrested 233 citizens and residents, including employees at the Ministries of Defense, Interior, Health, Justice, Municipal, Rural Affairs & Housing and Education, for their involvement in bribery, money laundering, power abuse, embezzlement of public funds and forgery.

 

The required regulatory measures against the detainees are being completed in preparation for their referral to court.

 

The authority called for reporting any cases of financial or administrative corruption in order to protect the Kingdom’s public funds.
