Foreign investment in Saudi Arabia up 20% to SAR 2.378 trln in Q3 2021

Foreign investments in Saudi Arabia grew by 20% to SAR 2.3788 trillion in Q3 2021 from SAR 1.9843 trillion a year earlier, based on the latest official data issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

 

When compared to the second quarter of 2021, foreign investments rose 5%, or SAR 112.5 billion.

Foreign direct investments (FDI) accounted for 41% of total foreign investments in the Kingdom, equivalent to SAR 971.8 billion.

 

Portfolio investments hit SAR 796.8 billion, while other investments stood at SAR 610.3 billion.
