AXA Insurance names Khalid Alshuwaier as CEO

AXA Cooperative Insurance Co.’s board of directors approved the appointment of Khalid Alshuwaier as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), after receiving the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) approval on Jan. 13.

 

The announcement will have no financial impact, the insurer said in a bourse filing today, Jan. 17. The company’s board of directors approved, on Dec. 21, to appoint Alshuwaier as CEO. The appointment was effective as of Jan. 16.

 

Alshuwaier has been working at the company over the last 16 years in some key positions, delivering outstanding performances, thanks to his deep business acumen and extensive knowledge of the Saudi market, coupled with his strong leadership capabilities.

 

He holds an Associateship of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) degree from Chartered Insurance Institute, in addition to some professional qualifications in management, finance, governance and compliance.
