MIS launches ‘Helix’ service for cloud computing

Al-Moammar Information Systems Co. (MIS) launched the commercial operations of Helix cloud computing service, which will be available through MIS starting today, Jan. 20, according to a bourse statement.

The step comes in line with the company’s strategic plan to establish strategic partnerships with global technology companies to provide their services by hosting their solutions on the local cloud computing environment of the company’s affiliate, Edarat Communications and Information Technology Co., inside Saudi Arabia.

In April 2021, MIS signed a strategic agreement with BMC Software Inc. to provide Helix programs and solutions through cloud computing, which will be managed and hosted by MIS within the Kingdom, according to data compiled by Argaam.
