More than 13,000 primary schools and 4,800 kindergartens in Saudi Arabia will start receiving 3.5 million students as of tomorrow, Jan. 23.

The Ministries of Education and Health announced resuming in-person classes for all students at the primary and kindergarten levels, less than 12 years old, at public, private, international, and foreign schools from Jan. 23.

The ministries approved three operational models (low, medium, and high) for the resumption of in-person classes for the primary and kindergarten levels, at public, private, international, and foreign schools. A total of 97% of schools fall under the low and medium levels.

The operational models take into account the application of health controls and precautions, in addition to benefiting from the school facilities and spaces.
