Dubai tourism department says 491,000 Saudi visitors in 2021

The Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai said the number of visitors from Saudi Arabia in 2021 reached 491,000, a 23% increase compared to 2020.

 

Visitors from Saudi Arabia to Dubai ranked second on the list of the emirate's most visited markets, after India.

 

Overall, the number of visitors coming to Dubai increased to 7.28 million in 2021, a growth of 32%, compared to 2020, after Dubai almost fully opened the door for visitors from around the world.

 

In 2021, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior banned Saudis from travelling to a number of countries, including the UAE, on the back of COVID-19.
