Mohammed ElKuwaiz, Chairman of the Capital Market Authority
Mohammed ElKuwaiz, Chairman of the Capital Market Authority (CMA), said the amendments approved by the market regulator to the rules on the offer of securities aim to facilitate and provide more options for financing.
The amendments are aimed to regulate an additional option for increasing capital of Saudi-listed firms through share issuance without rights, ElKuwaiz added in a tweet.
The CMA board approved, on March 3, the amendments to the rules on the offer of securities and continuing obligations. It also endorsed the glossary of defined terms used in CMA's regulations.
These amendments are aimed to regulate an additional option for capital increase, Argaam reported.
