Abdulaziz Al Ansary, Head of Product Division at meem Digital Banking

meem Digital Banking, a subsidiary of Gulf International Bank, made the real estate finance product as one of its main pillars for 2022, to lure more customers, said Abdulaziz Al Ansary, Head of Product Division.

On the sidelines of Restatex Riyadh Exhibition 2022, Al Ansary told Argaam that this is due to the great attention paid by the Ministry of Housing and Real Estate Development Fund (REDF).

He added that the bank offers several real estate services, and since this product is new for the bank, it will start providing the ready-made unit finance. “We will also offer the off-plan finance product soon”.

Al Ansary indicated that what distinguishes the bank and meem is that the customer's experience is digital, starting from submitting a finance application to the transfer of property ownership in the name of the customer.

With the expected rise in interest rates during 2022, the size of the portfolio will be in the interest of the bank as it will start the finance operations amid the growth in prices, and this will not negatively impact the portfolio.

“The profit subsidy provided by REDF will contribute to alleviating new customers’ burdens,” the top official concluded.
