Tourism ministry plans supporting programs to raise localization rate: report

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Tourism plans to enlist an expert house to manage and implement complementary programs to increase the localization rate in the sector in the Kingdom’s six regions.

 

The target regions include Riyadh, Makkah, Qassim, Eastern Region, Hail and Najran, Al-Watan newspaper reported.

 

The ministry identified 15 programs for the sector’s localization, including six programs for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), namely the tourism scholarship program, employment training program, applied training program, Hafawa program, professional certifications, leadership development program, executive education program, e-tourism education platform and secondment training program.
