10 things to watch on Tadawul today

Here are a few things you need to know as Saudi stocks start trading on Wednesday.

 

1) SABB Takaful Co. narrowed losses to SAR 5.8 million in 2021, compared to a net loss of SAR 31.3 million in the previous year.

 

2) Al Alamiya for Cooperative Insurance Co. widened its net loss to SAR 35.4 million in 2021, versus a net loss of SAR 6.2 million in the previous year.

 

3) Sadr Logistics Co.’s net profit after Zakat and tax increased by 40% to SAR 3.6 million in 2021, compared to SAR 2.6 million in 2020.

 

4) United Wires Factory Co. (Aslak) agreed with Thamar Nutrition and Subsistence Co. to extend the non-binding MoU to potentially acquire a stake in the latter, for a renewable period of 45 days.

 

5) Saudi Cement Co.'s shareholders will discuss the board's recommendation to distribute cash dividend at 20% of capital for H2 2021, at the ordinary general assembly meeting on April 10.

 

6) Tihama Advertising and Public Relations Co. received a letter from the lawyer, indicating that Nasser Al-Sarami filed a cassation appeal against the court’s ruling, issued in favor of the company.

 

7) Wataniya Insurance Co.’s shareholders will discuss increasing capital via a rights issue worth SAR 200 million, during the EGM on April 13.

 

8) Saudi Advanced Industries Co.’s (SAIC) board of directors approved the appointment of Mohammed Abdelaziz AlShetwey as the CEO, effective as of May 16. 

 

9) Jarir Marketing Co.’s board of directors reappointed Mohammad bin Abdul Rahman Al-Agil as Chairman, and Abdul Karim bin Abdul Rahman Al-Agil as Vice Chairman.

 

10) Brent crude rose 1.12% to reach $101.03 per barrel. WTI crude gained 0.81% to reach $97.22/bbl.
