The petroleum products distribution station in Jazan was attacked by a remote drone at approximately 11:30 pm on March 19, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported, citing an official source in the Ministry of Energy.

In addition, Yanbu Natural Gas Plant and Yanbu Aramco Sinopec Refining Co. (YASREF) facilities were attacked by two separate drones at nearly 5:30 am today, March 20.

The official source explained that the attack on YASREF facilities caused a temporary decrease in the refinery's production level, which will be compensated from the stockpile.

These attacks did not result in injuries or deaths, he stressed.

The source confirmed that the Kingdom strongly condemns these attacks and affirms that these sabotage and terrorist acts, which have been repeatedly committed against vital installations and civilian objects in different regions of the Kingdom, including, for example, the recent attack on the Riyadh refinery, are cowardly attempts that violate all international laws and norms.

These attacks do not target the Kingdom alone, but aim to destabilize the world’s security and stability of energy supplies. It also targets the global economy as a whole.

In addition, some of these attacks affect maritime navigation in sensitive areas such as the Red Sea, as they expose the coasts and territorial waters to major environmental disasters.

The source reiterated the Kingdom's call to the countries and global organizations to stand against these sabotage and terrorist attacks, and confront all parties that implement or support them.
