Tadawul Group shares rise 80% in nearly 4 months

Shares of Saudi Tadawul Group Holding Co. ( Tadawul Group) hit today, March 28, their highest level since listing in early December 2021, at SAR 193.60.

 

The stock closed 1% higher at SAR 188.20, hitting a fresh all-time high, amid 1.23 million shares traded.

 

Accordingly, the stock has surged 80%, compared to its listing price of SAR 105.

 

Tadawul Group announced that the Capital Market Authority (CMA), on March 26, approved the new fees structure for the services provided by the group’s subsidiaries – Saudi Exchange, Securities Depository Center (Edaa) and Securities Clearing Center (Muqassa).

 

The new fees structure is related to the shares buy and sell commissions, units of Real Estate Investment Traded (REITs) funds, Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs), Closed-End Funds (CEFs), and tradable rights.

 

The new levy will be 2.0 basis points on each transaction from each party (seller and buyer), instead of 1.8 basis points, which was calculated at 0.9 basis points for the trading services, and 0.9 for the settlement and safekeeping services.

 

The Group was established as a Saudi joint stock company in 2007 with a SAR 1.2 billion capital in Riyadh. It was listed on the Saudi Exchange in December 2021. The company is 70% owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) after the IPO.

 

Tadawul’s core activity is to manage or participate in the management of subsidiaries, invest its funds in stocks and other securities, own real estate and movables necessary to perform its activities, provide loans, guarantees and financing to its subsidiaries, own industrial property rights, and lease industrial property rights to its subsidiaries or others.
