Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) and US aerospace manufacturer Boeing signed today, April 10, a preliminary agreement to partner on a Kingdom-focused joint venture (JV), on the sidelines of the International Defense Exhibition & Conference (IDEX) held in Riyadh.

In a statement, the company said that, under the agreement, the two parties will work together through a limited liability company to provide the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for active helicopters currently in the Kingdom’s fleet.

SAMI, which is wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), stated that the coming weeks will witness the signing of final agreements for the JV.
