As an extension of Al Rajhi Bank’s active role in supporting charitable work, the bank announced its donation of SAR 7 million to the national campaign for charitable work in its second year. The program launched last Friday evening by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) - may God protect them - with two generous donations.
This support from Al Rajhi Bank in favor of the national campaign for charitable work, which is the largest donation received by the platform from the financial sector, reflects the Bank’s leading role in charitable work. Moreover, it shows its keenness to actively contribute to Corporate Social Responsibility Programs through many national initiatives and projects supporting the charitable sector to achieve the objectives of the Kingdom’s vision 2030.
Mr. Waleed Abdullah Al-Mogbel, CEO of Al-Rajhi Bank, said: “We are honored to support the national campaign for charitable work in its second year, to develop and support the needs of the charitable sector in the Kingdom, with the generous funding from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Highness the Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz - may God support them. It is an approach that we are keen on at Al Rajhi Bank to support social and charitable activities as a contribution to the third sector. We are proud of being at the forefront of the financial sectors in supporting charitable work and social responsibility programs in the Kingdom.”
His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh, honored Al Rajhi Bank during a special ceremony held in Riyadh last month as one of the largest donors to the national platform for charitable work Ihsan.
Al-Rajhi Bank, which has won the King Khalid Award for Social Responsibility for three consecutive years, is considered one of the most prominent national institutions in social responsibility, as the Bank contributed to supporting the first national campaign last year through the Ihsan platform, with an amount of seven million riyals. In addition to that, the Bank distributed food baskets in many regions of the Kingdom, along with the dialysis programs, the establishment and operation of an autism center at an amount of 44 million riyals for a period of five years, and the donation of 9.1 million riyals to support the "Contributing towards a better tomorrow" initiative. The latter was in coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, which oversees the Council of NGOs that implemented the initiative.
In the health sector, Al Rajhi Bank signed an agreement with the Wareef Charity of King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre to purchase and equip two mobile blood carts worth 6 million riyals.
Within the sustainable support programs, Al Rajhi Bank supported the medical tower within the King Saud University endowments in Riyadh with an amount of 70 million riyals. In addition to a tower in King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals endowments with an amount of 20 million riyals, and various programs for community, educational and health services at Qassim University.

The national platform for charitable work Ihsan, launched by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), is a national donation platform that provides many services and programs and brings together the national platforms concerned with donation at the level of the Kingdom. It plays a big integrated role that supports charitable and non-profit institutions and societies, and will help them achieve their goals.
According to data issued by SDAIA, more than three million beneficiaries have benefited from this platform, covering more than 8,200 social, educational, health, housing, food and relief donation opportunities.
