Alkhorayef Water awarded SAR 1.9 bln contracts for 4 projects by Environment Ministry

Alkhorayef Water and Power Technologies Co. (AWPT) secured on April 20 four contracts, with a total value of SAR 1.86 billion, for water quality improvement projects in the Eastern Province, the firm said in a statement to Tadawul.

 

The contracts were awarded by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture - General Directorate of Water Services (Eastern Province).

 

- The first contract is for Dammam Water Improvement Project (2) – North Strategic & Distribution Networks & Reservoirs – with a value of SAR 504.85 million (including VAT). The contract period is 24 months.

 

- The second is for Dammam Water Improvement Project (5) – South-East Strategic & Distribution Networks & Reservoirs – with a value is SAR 592.25 million (including VAT) and a duration of 30 months.

 

- The contract for Khobar Water Improvement Project (2) – North-South Strategic & Distribution Networks & Reservoirs – is valued at SAR 499.36 million (including VAT) and the contract period is 30 months.

 

- The fourth contract is for Qatif Water Improvement Project (1) – South-East Strategic & Distribution Networks & Reservoirs – with a value of SAR 258.75 million (including VAT) and a duration of 30 months.

 

The contracts include engineering, procurement and construction of strategic transmission lines and distribution networks, pumping stations and strategic reservoirs, AWPT said.

 

The expected date of the financial impact of these projects will be announced after receiving the fully executed contract agreement.

 

AWPT will announce any future developments, especially after receiving the final version of the agreement contract signed by all parties concerned.
