The Capital Market Authority (CMA) invited the public to send their opinions and suggestions on the draft regulatory framework for equity crowdfunding for a period of 45 days ending on June 9.

The draft aims to support financial technology innovations in the capital market by setting out a regulatory framework for equity crowdfunding, including determining the requisite authorization for practice by capital market institutions.

It also seeks to enable companies that have a financial technology experimental permit to get the appropriate authorization for practice as a capital market institution, in line with international best practices.
