King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah witnessed several challenges in recent weeks, Jeddah Airports Co.’s CEO Ryyan Tarabzouni told Al-Ekhbariya TV.

These challenges included baggage issues, delays or non-arrivals, as well as their dimensions that enter the airport systems.

The airport also faced flight delays coinciding with full operational resumption of the aviation sector and the start of Umrah and Ramadan simultaneously.

Jeddah Airports Co. boosted its cooperation with airlines to deal with these challenges after returning to full operational and technical competencies, which is reflected in collaboration with companies.

Tarabzouni said these challenges imposed a bundle of obligations on airports, the most important being the optimal use of available competencies.

He pointed out that there is a supreme command to seek the assistance of global expertise. Accordingly, the global operator began at King Abdulaziz Airport on Ramadan 20, which is expected to impact the coming months positively.
