The number of labor cases referred to “amicable settlement” reached nearly 77% of the total lawsuits, Ali Alwehaibi, Planning & Digital Excellence General Manager at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD), said.

Such cases are resolved in settlement offices in all regions of the Kingdom, with the remaining referred to the courts, he told Al Eqtisadiah newspaper.

Alwehaibi pointed out that claims of labor disputes between workers and employers that are referred to the settlement departments varied from work refusal by workers to salaries and compensation claims.
