Sadara Chemical Co. launched its ethylene oxide (EO) and propylene oxide (PO) pipelines project, supplying the EO and PO feedstock to PlasChem Park.
Sadara announced in a press release that it completed the construction of the EO and PO pipelines, which span around six kilometers (km) each, as well as the distribution unit.
Investors will use the raw materials to produce several specialty products for many industrial applications across the Kingdom and a number of business sectors including manufacturing industries, oil and gas chemicals, construction and building materials, personal care products, household products and others related to painting.
This is the first-of-its-kind project in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
The supply operations were completed via transferring the feedstock to the Halliburton Chemical Reaction Plant in PlasChem Park, which opened last March.
