Water bottles
The number of licensed companies in Saudi Arabia's bottled water market reached more than 200 in 2021.
Most of these companies are small and their production does not exceed 2,000 bottles per day, as shown in the study by market consultant Euromonitor International, in the prospectus of the initial public offering (IPO) of Naqi Water Co.
Meanwhile, large companies account for about 84% of the total market share in terms of value and volume.
In terms of value, Safa, which is owned by Bin Zomah Group Trading & Manufacturing, holds the largest market share with 16.9%, followed by NOVA, owned by Health Water Bottling Co. Ltd. with 15.5%. HANA, owned by National Plant for Healthy Water, comes third with 12% market share, followed by PepsiCo-owned Aquafina and Berain, owned by Berain Water and Beverages Factory, with 9.8% each.

According to the study, the bottled water market in the central province is highly competitive.
NOVA, HANA and Safa brands account for market shares of 18.6%, 17% and 14.1%, respectively, in the central province market, as the shown in table below:

Moreover, the volume of the bottled water sector in Saudi Arabia is estimated at 6.7 billion liters in 2021, at a value of SAR 8.8 billion. It is expected to reach about 8.8 billion liters by 2026, with a value of SAR 12.2 billion.

The per capita consumption of bottled water in Saudi Arabia is estimated at 202.5 liters annually in 2021, which is considered one of the highest rates in the world, due to factors including the scarcity and nature of drinking supplies in Saudi Arabia, climate and increasing trend towards health products among households, according to the study.
