Saudi-Turkey trade exchange hits SAR 103 bln in last five years: Official

Ajlan Al-Ajlan, Chairman of the Council of Saudi Chambers, said the volume of trade exchange between Saudi Arabia and Turkey reached nearly SAR 103 billion in the last five years.

There is more room for economic cooperation between both countries, in light of the available economic potentials and investment opportunities, the state-run SPA reported.

Al-Ajlan called on Turkish businessmen to seize the investment opportunities provided by Saudi Vision 2030 in the Kingdom for local and foreign investors across many promising sectors.

Al-Ajlan’s statements came during the Turkey-Saudi Arabia Business and Investment Roundtable Meeting, which coincided with Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman’s visit to Turkey.

The meeting aims to open new investment channels between both countries in all sectors, mainly food security, energy, contracting activities, construction, petrochemicals, tourism, entertainment, culture, healthcare, real estate, transportation, logistics services and information technology.

Moreover, two agreements worth over SAR 243 million were signed by the two countries on the localization of food industries and knowledge transfer through training Saudi cadres.
