Saudi Arabia’s contracting sector implemented nearly SAR 20 trillion worth of projects over the last five years, Saudi Press Agency reported, citing Hamad Al-Hammad, Head of National Contracting Committee at the Federation of Saudi Chambers.

The contracting sector is yet to fully recover from the pandemic repercussions, Al-Hammad said, adding that it would take time to stage a comeback.

However, indicators show that the industry is recovering strongly.

Saudization in the industry is growing amid several initiatives to increase the number of nationals in the sector, including a program to boost the Saudi crafts skills.
