The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's flag
The unemployment rate in Saudi Arabia fell to 10.1% in the first quarter of 2022, compared with the previous quarter, data from the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) showed.
Unemployment rate among males and females stood at 5.1% and 20.2%, respectively, in the same period.
Meanwhile, unemployment among total working age population reached 6% in the three-month period, compared to 6.9% in Q4 2021.
The employment of Saudi females increased to 33.6% in Q1 2022.
Employment rate among Saudi males and females stood at 62.7% and 26.8%, respectively, in the same period.
