Etihad Atheeb says network deployment requirements fulfilled

Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication Co. (Go) informed the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) that it fulfilled the network deployment requirements, as per the CITC license for the 3.5 GHz spectrum band, according to a bourse filing.

 

The related documents were submitted on June 29 to the CITC for review, and the relevant financial impact cannot be determined at present.

 

In January, Etihad Atheeb obtained the CITC approval to extend the commitment period to deploy the network for additional six months, Argaam reported.

 

Meanwhile, the telco was informed in a letter issued by the CITC in May that the license to use the 3.5GHz spectrum band frequency will be canceled if it fails to fulfill its obligations.
