Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) is negotiating with the luxury carmaker Aston Martin about acquiring a stake in the latter’s capital, sources told Financial Times.

The acquisition could be worth £200 million, the sources said, adding that the talks are at an early stage.

Aston is seeking new sources of funding for its upcoming generation of vehicles, especially as it is facing the challenge of funding its next generation of sports cars, and its first push into electric vehicles, the sources noted.
