PIF eyes up to $300 mln investment grabs in Albania

Public Investment Fund (PIF) is looking at investment opportunities in Albania ranging from $200 million to $300 million, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

 

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who is also the Kingdom’s Deputy Prime Minister, held on July 27 an extensive meeting with Edi Rama, Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, in the Greek capital, Athens.

 

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed relations between the two countries and discussed strengthening aspects of bilateral cooperation in various fields, in addition to ways to support and develop them. This is besides examining regional and international developments as well as efforts made in this regard.

 

The meeting covered ways to consolidate economic partnership between both countries, in addition to exploring means of intensifying cooperation between the Kingdom and Albania in the political fields, while boosting bilateral investment and coordination in regional and international issues of common interest.

 

Rama expressed his appreciation for the Kingdom’s decision to provide $50 million in support to Albania, as well as the PIF’s interest in investing in his country.
