Ministry of Transport denies media reports on planned road tolls

An official source at the Saudi Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services denied social media rumors about introducing tolls on some roads, Akhbaar24 reported.

 

The report aired by a TV channel was not based on any official sources.

 

Al-Arabiya TV said on Aug. 4 that the Roads General Authority (RGA) is planning to impose some tolls on certain roads within a year.

 

Last week, Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet approved the establishment of the RGA, Argaam reported.
