Saudi Arabia’s Transport General Authority called on the public to submit their feedback on the draft regulations governing international passenger transport activity by buses via Istitlaa platform until Aug. 17.

The authority indicated that the regulations aim to regulate the activity of transporting passengers by buses to and from the Kingdom (international transport) to raise the level of transport services. The regulations also aim to preserve the rights of parties to the transport process, create an appropriate investment environment, and raise the operating efficiency to achieve the highest standards and safety requirements.

Further, the authority stated that the regulations apply to practitioners of international passenger transport activity by buses to and from the Kingdom. The establishment should obtain a three-year license to practice the activity. However, it will not able to practice the activity after the expiry, cancelation or suspension of the license.
